Your Sand, Locked In

We blend a small amount of the sand you send us directly into the clay body. Once fired, that place becomes permanently embedded in the piece — part of its structure, not just its surface.

Fired to Last

Glazed in a simple clear glaze and fired to 1220°C for strength, durability, and water tightness (for applicable pieces). Made to be used. Made to last.

8–10 Week Bespoke Process

Each Time Capsule piece is made to order after your sand arrives at the studio. Please allow 8–10 weeks for the full process — this is slow craft, done properly.

All of our pieces are carefully packed in large boxes using eco-friendly packaging to ensure they arrive safe and secure even on long journeys.

A tracking number will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please note that all deliveries require a signature. If you’re not home at the time of delivery, your local postal service will hold your parcel for 12 days before returning it to us. If an order is returned, any reshipping costs will be your responsibility.

For international orders, please be aware that customs tariffs and local taxes may apply depending on your country. These charges are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.

Due to the high cost of shipping, international orders are non-refundable and cannot be returned.

Its natural contrast creates a finish that feels both raw and refined, echoing the rugged beauty of our coastline. Time Capsule is our first bespoke, custom service.

You collect a small amount of sand from a beach that holds meaning in your life,
the beach you grew up on,
where you proposed,
where you scattered ashes,
where your kids learned to swim,
where something changed.

You send it to us (2 Tbsp of Sand).

We carefully blend your sand into our clay and create one of our classic Author pieces, permanently locking that place into the form. Fired. Finished. Built to last.

Each piece is handmade in our Avondale studio and carries the texture and story of your chosen shoreline.

How It Works

You order your Time Capsule piece.
We send instructions for sending your sand.
You post a small, clearly labelled amount to our studio (2 Tbsp of Sand).
We create your piece.
We fire, finish, and ship it back to you.

Please allow 8–10 weeks from the time your sand arrives in the studio.
This process can’t be rushed — each piece is made individually, slowly, and properly.

A Note on Collecting Sand

Sand should only be collected from locations where it is legally permitted and environmentally responsible to do so. Please ensure you have the right to take a small amount from the beach you choose.

We use only a minimal quantity in each piece — just enough to hold the story, not disturb the place.
