Shipping Policy

General Information

All orders are processed and shipped from our studio in New Zealand. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

Please ensure your shipping address is correct before completing your order. We are unable to reroute packages once they have been shipped.


International Orders

For international orders, please be aware that customs duties, import tariffs, and local taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
These charges are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.

For orders shipped to the United States, applicable import duties and taxes can be paid directly at checkout.

Due to the high cost of international freight, all international orders are final sale and non-returnable.


Delivery and Signature Requirements

Most orders require a signature on delivery.
If no one is available to receive your package, the delivery company will leave a notification with instructions for rescheduling delivery or collecting your parcel.

We will follow up via email if your order has been marked as “undeliverable.”
It is your responsibility to contact the delivery company and arrange redelivery or collection.

International parcels are typically held for up to two (2) weeks before being returned to the sender. Please ensure you reschedule or collect your parcel promptly to avoid return shipping fees.


Returned Shipments

If your order is returned to us because it was not collected or redelivery was not arranged in time, the following will apply:

  • We will issue a refund for the product cost only, once the parcel has safely arrived back at our studio.

  • All original shipping costs, import duties, and return freight fees are non-refundable.

  • In some cases, return and re-entry fees (including taxes and tariffs) may total up to NZD $300. These charges will be deducted from your refund amount.

  • If you wish to have your order resent, a new shipping fee will apply.


Responsibility

Once your order has been handed over to the courier, responsibility for delivery lies with the customer. Please ensure you monitor your tracking information and respond to any delivery notices promptly.

Author Ceramics cannot be held responsible for delays, uncollected parcels, or costs associated with failed delivery due to incomplete or unattended addresses.
